What is EZDOCS?

IDoc (for intermediate document) is a SAP standard data structure for electronic data interchange (EDI) between application programs or between business partners. IDocs serve as the vehicle for data transfer into SAP system that follow’s the business rules and creates the business documents in SAP. (E.g. Invoice, Sales Order, Shipment etc.)

Correcting Inbound IDocs received from multiple partners in SAP has been challenge for decades because of the hierarchical structure of IDocs with multi-level nodes and redundant fields. For e.g. in order to find the material in error on an Inbound Invoice IDoc received from a business partner and to correct the same, the user has to drill down and navigate through multiple nodes on an IDoc and edit several fields for resolving a single error. This process can take several minutes to correct one Invoice IDoc. Imagine a customer that has thousands of IDocs in error every day because of integration with several partners who have different ERP solutions. The solution to this problem is eiDocs.

EZDOC is a comprehensive solution to display, edit, correct and re-process Intermediate documents (IDOCs)

used for electronic data exchange using a simplified user

interface.

• Single and easy tabular (ALV) view to display, edit, correct and re-process IDocs thereby avoiding the need to navigate, expand and edit multiple nodes to correct IDocs eventually decreasing the time taken to analyze and correct the IDocs 
